Office of Alternative Prosecution and Resources (OAP)
The NCDA’s Office of Alternative Prosecutions and Resources (OAP) aims to reduce recidivism and enhance public safety by offering community-based treatment and programs – to certain justice-involved individuals – in lieu of traditional prosecution. OAP resources include treatment for mental illness and substance-use disorders from agencies that are state-licensed and OAP-vetted, as well as educational and training programs that promote personal development.
